Muslims in Moscow took part in a rally against terror

Tuesday, 20 April  – Moscow, over thousands of Muslim took part in a rally Islam against terror. The event was dedicated to the memory of victims of terrorist attacks in the Moscow metro, and was intended to demonstrate the position of Muslims against the terrorists, disguised slogans of Islam. It is held jointly by the Muslim and Orthodox youth of the capital. Supervising over the march are Chairman of Moscow Religious Community of Muslims Darul-Arqam, an Islamic preacher, Sheikh Muhammad Karachay and the head of the Orthodox body movement Nashi Boris Yakemenko.

The rally began in the morning at the waterfront of Taras Shevchenko at the hotel “Ukraine”.  Most of its members were just young people. As told to Ansar.ru, Muhammad Karachay not left without attention and action, Russian national unions and national groups, located in Moscow.

Gathered also  Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Russian Congress of Peoples of the Caucasus Ahmed Azimov, Physicians, Dr. Leonid Roshal, the representatives of the Muslim community in Moscow.  Then, participants headed to the metro station Kiev (about 1,5-2 km). Young people carried banners reading “Islam – a world!”, “Muslim headscarf – a symbol of righteousness, not terror,”

March of this scale and format was held in Moscow for the first time in history. The organizers managed to hold not just a religious action, but most importantly bringing together Muslim and Orthodox youth. For the first time representatives of different faiths together made against terror. “Everything went well” – said Muhammad Karachay.

Participants of the rally have showed a positive attitude and united. And most importantly, achieved its goals – to show the unity of all believers in the rejection of violence, extremism, Islamophobia and bloody provocation. “We wanted to use this meeting to weaken the tension in the society after the terrorist attacks in Moscow.  Not afraid to us!  Open your hearts, to tell our Muslim greeting “Assalamualaikum.” Peace be with you and your families. I think we managed to reach out to the Russians”- said him.
